AAA Power Rankings Week 4

Last Updated Jan 2, 2006

Only action for top teams was Centennial, Brookswood, St. George's and Claremont. MEI suprised some by winning their own tournament. Some big tournaments coming up at Terry Fox and on the Island, should be some movement next weekend.

Will update this on a weekly basis, most likely every Sun. Think your team should be higher, or included in the Power Rankings?? Send me an take at BCSportsFanatic@yahoo.ca

01. Saint George's Saints (2)
The Saints beat Claremont in exhibition action over the break. They've now beaten every major contender with the exception of Brookswood. Looking forward to some action this week coming up.

02. Centennial Centaurs (1)
Lost to Brookswood at the MEI tournament. The Centaurs look to bounce back at the Terry Fox tournament this coming weekend.

03. Handsworth Royals (2)
No action that I was aware of over the break. Handsworth is in a tournament in Saskatchewan this coming week to defend their title. Represent!!! Lots of action the following week vs ranked teams when they get back from Saskatchewan

04. Kitsilano Blue Demons (4)
No action that I was aware of over the break. The Blue Demons are competing in the Terry Fox tournament coming up with several ranked teams in it. A win would bring them back up to top 3. Also playing Magee on Wed in league action. Taking some flack for naming Ty Nurse as 1st Team All-Star over Westbrook. All I have to say is watch Nurse play live, then tell me what you think.

05. Brookswood Bobcats (5)
Got over the hump by getting by the Centaurs. Malish and Bath starting to round into form. Could be making a move up to the top 3. They are in the Terry Fox tournament, some great matchups there.

06. Claremont Spartans (6)
Lost to St. George's over the break by 10+. Not a bad showing if you ask me. The Spartans are in the Terry Fox tournament, first round matchup is vs top 10 Maple Ridge. Could move up to top 3 by winning the tournament.

07. Dover Bay Dolphins (7)
Lost to Kitsap, the Washington state team at the Victoria Prep Invitational. Coming to the mainland to compete in the Terry Fox tournament. First round matchup vs Brookswood. Also a big league game vs Wellington on Tue. Should win but Wellington is a dangerous team.

08. Maple Ridge Ramblers (8)
No action that I was aware of over the break. Terry Fox tournament coming up could be their official coming out party. Could they possibly be the best team in the Valley?? We'll see.

09. GP Vanier Towhees (13)
No action that I was aware of over the break. Competing in the Mt Doug tournament this weekend. Anyone know the draw?? Should win outright with Claremont and Dover coming to the mainland.

10. Oak Bay Bays (14)
No action that I was aware of over the break. Are they in the Mt Doug or Wellington tournaments this week??

11. Gleneagle Talons (NR)
No action that I was aware of over the break. The Talons have a dangerous league game coming up on Wed vs Charles Best and Sam Freeman. Are the Talons in any tournaments this coming week? Let me know if they are.

12. Pinetree Timberwolves (15)
No action that I was aware of over the break. Not aware of any league games or tournaments the Timberwolves are in, let me know if you know where they're playing next week.

13. Carson Graham Eagles (09)
No action that I was aware of over the break. Not aware of any league games or tournaments the Eagles are in, let me know if you know where they're playing next week.

14. Killarney Cougars (11)
No action that I was aware of over the break. The Cougars play AA Sentinel in exhibition action on Wed, let me know if they're playing any tournaments next week.

15. Pitt Meadows Marauders (12)
No action that I was aware of over the break. Not aware of any league games or tournaments the Marauders are in, let me know if you know where they're playing next week.

HM: MEI, Belmont, Wellington, Churchill , Kelowna, North Delta
MEI is a team that could break into the top 15 with a good showing at the Terry Fox tournament coming up. North Delta has the talent in their twin towers to move into the top 15 as well but haven't been able to take the next step in their game as a team. Churchill could be competing with Killarney for 2nd in the LM. Belmont and Wellington continue to be dangerous teams on the Island. Kelowna will be at the Agrodome in March, that we know.

I'm pretty sure Saints and Kits have yet to play each other this season. Regardless of what one thinks the outcome would be, it is not consistent with your own rankings to say of Saints, "They've now beaten every major contender with the exception of Brookswood."
