Pre-season AA Power Rankings
Last Updated Dec 4, 2005
Will update this on a weekly basis, most likely every Sun. Think your team should be higher, or included in the Power Rankings?? Send me an take at BCSportsFanatic@yahoo.ca As this is pre-season there will be a lot of movement in the next few weeks/month. Will be following tournament play and league play closely from week to week.
01. Duchess Park Condors (3)
Has looked the best so far of all the top teams. Beaten good competition at the Nechako Valley tourney without Paul Burkeholder.
02. Clarence Fulton Maroons (2)
Beat Westsyde earlier and is looking good so far to repeat as Interior champs. Big Kahuna next weekend will be a good test.
03. Prince Rupert Rainmakers (1)
Lack of good early season action hurts them, but should finish strong.
04. St Thomas More Knights (4)
Lost to AAA Pinetree in exhibition action. Waiting for more games to accurately rank them.
05. Ladysmith 49ers (5)
Beaten Lambrick at the Lambrick Park tournament. With more action we'll see if they're top 5.
06. Collingwood Cavaliers (HM)
Wins their own tournament beating an Alberta team, Shawnigan Lake, and Hope in the finals.
07. Hope Mustangs (7)
Looking solid early on, lost to Collingwood in the finals of the Collingwood tournament.
08. Lambrick Park (8)
Played well in their own tournament, came close to Ladysmith. Should get better as the season progresses.
09. Westsyde Blue Wave (6)
Won the AAA Westview tournament. Need better competition to stay a top 10, more action coming with Big Kahuna next weekend.
10. DP Todd Trojans (9)
Did OK at the Nekacho Valley tournament finishing 6th out of 8th. Next action is at the Big Kahuna next weekend.
11. Cedar Spartans (HM)
Actually defeated Lambrick earlier last week. Could rise from here.
12. McMath Wildcats (NR)
Beat Collingwood last week, could be a sleeper team from the Lower Mainland. No Watson, Smith and Chu, but well coached and decent size.
13. College Heights Cougars (10)
Didn't see any game action early on, drops a little.
14. Shawnigan Lake (NR)
Played at Collingwood tournament beating Archbishop. Not sure if they should be ranked so high, but they do have Michael Berg.
15. Notre Dame (HM)
Lost big to Hope at the Collingwood tournament, but could improve from here, talent is young and will get better.
HM: Summerland, St. Michael's, King George, Sa-hali
These HMs are a stretch here, wanted to get 15 teams ranked. Summerland is pretty good. SMU and Sa-hali are actually ranked by Basketball BC, must have some insider info. King George is usually pretty good from the LM.

Gulf Islands beat Lambrick Park by 10 this weekend....
Sa hali won there tourney last weekend at thomas heaney not very good competition but played farely well
where is watson now?
watsons at Langara, i expected him to go down south but i guess he just didn't have what they wanted
McMath is ranked 12th for AA??
They just lost to Southridge by 25+ points
I say, we either get McMath off that list, Or we get Southridge onto it for at least an HM...
also notre dame is an embarassment to catholic schools, they were down 44-10 at halftime against hope at the collingwood tournament and eventually lost by 45 and then lost to sta then archbishop carney and finished dead last. they are a joke get them off the list.
this list is good for most of it but needs to have teams like southridge, sands, and some others added, becauses, some of these teams are jokes
watson's at langara eh.. same with chu and smith? the big three still together?
