Killarney Cougars vs Kelly Road Roadrunners

Kelly Road Roadrunners Preview

I'll be honest in that I know next to nothing about the Roadrunners. They came in 2nd at the Condor Classic at Duchess Park losing to Duchess Park by 15+. They reached the provincials by beating Columneetza. The Roadrunners will be looking forward to a matchup vs Kelowna in the Consolation. A win there would be huge.

Players to Watch for: Unknown, post if you know of any.
Outlook: The Roadrunners came to play Kelowna in their 2nd game and possibly Caledonia if they upset the Owls.

Killarney Cougars Preview

The Cougars had very high expectations going into this season having made the big Tournament last year and returning key starters. They've floated around being ranked and honorable mention all year but they've had some key losses throughout the season. Perhaps the expectations were somewhat unrealistic to begin with, we'll see if they prove us all wrong. The Cougars possess everything needed to make a good run, but simply haven't executed well enough and consistently enough. They have an explosive point guard in Tony Otim and decent size at Post with Kyle Wiwchar and Justin Harris. They have a 3 point shooter in Shamus Mulhern. When they play well, they can beat almost anyone. When they lose, they just don't play smart and find themselves trying to dig themselves out of a hole. That usually leads to ill-advised 3 pointers and forced plays. But the upside is there.

Players to Watch for: Tony Otim, Kyle Wiwchar, Shamus Mulhern, Justin Harris
Outlook: Should get by Kelly Road. Brookswood and consolation will be tough though.

the Kelly Roard team actually has a fiarly decent shcane to upset, i'd give them about 40% odds, their 2 best players are grade 11's, their post player Dennis Stark, and shooting guard/small forwadr jesse greenwood, both of whom made mini-camp

Actually, in the ridiculously pointed backdoor for the losers from Tuesday, the Thursday game is meaningless. The winner of the first game plays the loser from the 2nd game Friday, and vice versa. So, it just doesn't matter at all really. There is no more depressing experience than those Thursday games at Notre Dame, it feels like you've been cast out East of Eden.
