2005 AAA Season Review Week 7
Updated the AAA Power Rankings.
Hugh Boyd was the big tournament this weekend, Kits beat everyone handily. Lots of league action as well.

Victoria Police Tournament
Pacer Classic - DELTA
ELGIN PARK (Surrey)

Tournaments next week:

Fraser Valley
1. Centennial
2. Brookswood
3. WRCA
4. Enver Creek
5. Pitt Meadows
6. Maple Ridge
7. Gleneagle
8. Fleetwood Park
9. MEI
10. North Delta
HM: Terry Fox, Pinetree, Port Moody, Tamanawis
Things really starting to tighten up as we approach the playoffs. I would say there are 15 really good teams in the FV that are all capable of beating anyone on any given night. Centennial and Brookswood are still consistently the best but we've seen where they've been vulnerable. Centennial was rocked this week in an exhibition game vs St. Georges. Fleetwood Park has shown they can beat the best of them by beating Enver this week. Pitt is improving week by week, and North Delta is starting to come on as well with some good wins.

Lower Mainland
1. St. Georges
2. Kitsilano
3. Killarney
4. Churchill
5. Burnaby Central
6. Magee
7. Lord Byng
8. Vancouver College
9. Hugh Boyd
10. Burnaby South
HM: Prince of Wales, New West
St. George's got spanked out east last week, just goes to show how far we still have to go to compete with Ontario. Kitsilano won the Hugh Boyd tournament beating everyone easily. Killarney has been widely inconsistent which could be disastrous come playoff time. Left the rest of the teams about where they were before. Moved up Hugh Boyd, they are starting to play more ranked teams and are winning, they could sneak into the Provincials. Dropped Burnett, Palmer, and Richmond. They are too young and inexperienced, wait for next year.

Vancouver Island
1. Claremont
2. Dover Bay
3. Vanier
4. Wellington
5. Oak Bay
HM: Belmont, Mt Douglas, Cowichan
After a slow start, Claremont has starting a string of wins. They've established themselves as the best on the Island. Dover Bay has been tailing off lately but will look to finish strong to earn a Provincial berth. The last 2 spots will be a dog-fight, all of Dover, Vanier, Wellington, Oak Bay, Belmont and Cowichan have a shot. Should be some great games going into the playoffs.
Vancouver Island Preview Week 7
Howe Sound
1. Handsworth
2. West Vancouver
3. Argyle
4. Carson Graham
Carson has hit the wall with a few weeks left going into playoffs. Did not do well at the Pitt tournament last weekend and lost by 20 or so to Handsworth. Heard there are some coaching issues there as well. West Van starting to gel as we get ready to head into the playoffs. They won the Port Moody tournament a few weeks ago and have had some close games most recently vs Enver. Argyle has been pretty silent but they have the skill to contend.
