2005 Pre-season Update

As the teachers get ready to vote on whether the job action will continue or school will resume, High School Athletics are still very much in limbo.

A gathering of coaches on the Island (including one prominent coach from a very high-profile program this year) met to discuss the future of teacher-coaching for High School Athletics. No decisions were made, but it's clear that teacher-coaches are feeling frustrated and a full withdrawl of their services for this season is a real possibility.

I guess only time will tell... So for this week, we are featuring the Vancouver Island zone. Of course, should the "prominent" coach decide not to coach this year, there could be a major shakeup in the season.
