2005 AAA Season Review Week 9

Feb 12 Update. Playoffs have started. LM, FV, and VI championships start later this week in AAA. Same with AA. I plan on watching as much game action and reporting back when the action begins. Good Luck to all...

Updated the AAA Power Rankings.

Last week of league action for some leagues. The only major tournament this weekend was the Kelowna Tournament with St. George's taking it over Centennial in the Finals.


Fraser Valley

HM: Terry Fox, Pinetree, Port Moody, Tamanawis

Centennial loses to St. Georges in the finals of the Kelowna tournament. Although Brookswood has been widely inconsistent so far this season, I still believe that they are better than WRCA, Enver and Maple Ridge.

Lower Mainland

HM: New West, Palmer

St. George's wins the Kelowna tournament, they also beat VC handily in league play. Kitsilano is perfect in league play. Churchill, Magee, and Byng all have played well in league play and are close on the heels of Killarney. The league standings for the BNW has Central, South, then New West. Richmond league has Boyd on top followed by Palmer, Richmond, then Burnett.

Lower Mainland Preview Week 9

Vancouver Island

1. Claremont
2. Oak Bay
3. Vanier
4. Dover Bay
5. Cowichan

HM: Wellington, Belmont, Stelly's

Oak Bay beat Claremont this week in league play. They are peaking at just the right time and could be the Cinderella team of 2006. Vanier holds steady, Dover had some injuries but looks to be healthy again as we head into the playoffs.

Howe Sound

1. Handsworth
2. West Vancouver
3. Argyle
4. Carson Graham

Handsworth has stayed on top easily in the Howe Sound league. After beating Carson a few weeks ago, West Van lost to them this week. Argyle beat Carson as well.
