Couple of tournament action locally. MEI surprised many by winning their own tournament beating Brookswood in the Final. West Vancouver is back on the radar screen winning the Port Moody Tournament, albeit a weaker tournament bracket but nonetheless a win. St. George's beat Claremont on the Island over the break as well.

Fraser Valley

1. Centennial
2. Brookswood
3. Maple Ridge
4. Gleneagle
5. Pinetree
6. Pitt Meadows
7. MEI
8. North Delta

10. WRCA

HM: Enver Creek, Terry Fox, Port Moody, Charles Best

Centennial lost to Brookswood at the MEI Tournament. This marks the first time this group of players at Centennial has lost to this group of players from Brookswood throughout their high school careers. Malish and Bath are looking solid, when they're on, watch out folks, it's over. MEI makes a move up by beating Brookswood in the final game of the MEI Tournament. After a disappointing start, they are starting to roll, just in time too. Everyone else was idle.

St. George's beat Claremont a few nights ago. They have now beat almost every top team with the exception of Brookswood. Burnaby South played at the Port Moody tournament losing to West Van in the semis. Everyone else was idle.

Lower Mainland Preview Week 4

Vancouver Island

1. Claremont
2. Dover Bay
3. Vanier
4. Oak Bay
5. Belmont

HM: Wellington, Mt Douglas, Cowichan

Not sure about results of the Victoria Prep Invitational over the weekend, but I hear it was mostly exhibition with teams from the US competing. St. George's did beat Claremont in an exhibition game.

Vancouver Island Preview Week 4

Howe Sound

1. Handsworth
2. Carson Graham
3. Argyle
4. West Vancouver

West Vancouver was the only team with action over the break as far as I know. They won the Port Moody tournament beating Port Moody in the final and Burnaby South in the semis. Looks like the Highlanders are starting to come together, should be a tight battle for the half berth available for Provincials.

Howe Sound Preview Week 4

Other Regions

I was mistaken last week, Kelowna was not idle, they played in the Chilliwack Tournament including wins over Sardis and top-ranked Ross Sheppard from Alberta. This week they were in the Penticton Tournament, judging from the draw, they should win that one as well.

Other regions Preview Week 4
